Research Officer – Evaluations and Research
Location: Gurgaon, Haryana

Reporting To: Associate Director/Sr. Manager – Research & Evaluation
Educational Qualification:

1. Post-graduate degree in social science/applied social science research/management
2. Computer Savvy with good command over Written English

Minimum Experience: At least 2 – 5 years of experience in conducting research and evaluations
Roles and Responsibilities:
•Secondary research for projects and research proposals.
•Preparing research proposals and budgets (working on the method and sampling)
•Conduct literature review, design and pilot survey instruments and tools as per Assignment/Project scope.
•Develop an action plan for timely execution of the assigned project(s)
•Assist the Research Manager in developing training material for the field team
•Conduct field trainings of the data collection team
•Responsible for field based execution, managing day to day activities and field teams during data collection to ensure timely collection of quality data
•Conduct interviews, focus group discussions etc. as per the requirement of the project
•Qualitative data analysis and report writing
•To participate and contribute in developing proposals for organisations new projects

Skills Required:
•Good written and oral communication skills
•Understanding of research methodologies, sampling, applied research, program design and evaluation
•Previous experience of undertaking fieldwork, conducting interviews and FGDs.
•Experience of using digital data collection platforms
•Ability to multi-task and take responsibility for timely completion of activities
•Familiarity with the development sector, social investment/philanthropic and social change fields
•Able to deliver quality deliverables
•Willingness to travel across the country and internationally for fieldwork

Salary: Salary is negotiable and commensurate with Knowledge, Skills & Experience of the candidate

Location: Position based in HO in Gurgaon. It is a full-time position with travel to the field, as and when, required.
